Mark Bowen
Mark has more than 20 years of experience in the film and television industry. His wide range of management experience in film, television, and audio production as well as his broad experience in advertising and marketing, underscore his vast knowledge of the industry.
In the late '80's and early 90's, Mark spent several years as an international television producer with The U.S. Information Agency. During his employment there, Mr. Bowen served as an International Television Producer. In this capacity, he produced more than 250 live international programs on the WORLDNET Television Network. Many of these broadcasts were multi-country, interactive satellite programs between Washington D.C. and many countries in Europe, Asia, South America and Africa featuring high level U.S. Government officials and celebrities. Mark also produced several programs from the White House under the Bush and Clinton administrations, showcasing Vice President Gore, Secretary of State Warren Christopher, Lawrence Eagleburger, and Madeleine Albright. President Clinton awarded acknowledgement to Mr. Bowen for a television biography of President Nelson Mandela's life.
Mark then established several successful communication companies, including BIG SHOT FILMS in Baltimore, MD; WASHINGTON MEDIA WORKS in Arlington, VA and EXTREME MEDIA in Dallas TX. Mark later formed his own production company, SOUTHWEST FILMS, and transitioned to Los Angeles where he was a managing partner and producer with the LOS ANGELES FILM FACTORY. During this time he produced and directed numerous commercial and music videos for artists such as Sugar Ray and Cypress Hill. Mark created the post production arm of the DREYFUSS SCHINDLER AGENCY in North Hollywood where he produced and edited commercials, music videos and television pilots with Lorin and Richard Dreyfuss. Mr. Bowen has also produced and edited several independent short and feature films, including Willo Hausman’s first featurette, FAIRIE. Currently co-producing CLARE, Mark is also involved with marketing and communications strategies with his company SOUTHWEST FILMS.
