Ted King has appeared in a dozen feature films; performed on television and on stage. His career as a performer began at age nine when he was shoveling elephant dung for Ringling Bros. Barnum and Bailey Circus. Later he got the part of Dopey of the Seven Dwarfs and was led around the three-ring circus by Snow White herself.
At age 11 he was cast in a local college play. Since then, Ted King has been on-set, both in front of and behind the camera, with John Wayne, Allen Ladd, Jessica Lange, Maureen O’Hara, Ann Margaret, David Jansen, Kevin Costner and many, many other legends of the entertainment industry. He has appeared in Oscar and Golden Globe winning movies, and Emmy winning television shows.
Once in Las Vegas, during the Shirley McLain show at the Desert Inn, Ted managed to steal the spotlight and up-stage Milton Berle… a treasured memory.
He majored in English at the University of California at Berkley; then changed to Mass Communications where he interned with the Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood television show from WQED television and National Educational Television.
He has written three feature film scripts. Additionally, he has written, produced and directed corporate promotional films, and industrial and training films.
