Hailing from Michigan, Chris discovered acting in the 1900’s, when he played the biggest Billy goat in THE THREE BILLY GOATS GRUFF, in his kindergarten class production. He was hooked for life. Chris performed musically in various rock bands during high school as a keyboardist, singer and bass player. While attending Michigan State University, Christopher continued his musical training and studied several styles of music, including opera, jazz, rap, as well as heavy metal but his passion remained with the theater.
Los Angeles was the next stop for Chris where he had the immense pleasure of being a vitamin salesman and a data entry guy at Gold’s Gym in Venice. He even wore a fuzzy pink costume and waved at people anonymously to get them to shop at Pink Dot. Chris was a courier for a commercial production company as well, but after an on-the-job motorcycle crash laid him up for several months, he decided it was time to move on.
Throughout these “character building” times, Mr. Showerman found inspiration in his acting teachers and coaches, admiring actors such as Anthony Hopkins and Robert Duvall.
Since his GRUFF debut Chris has played George in GEORGE OF THE JUNGLE 2, stripped on THE O.C., got busted on CSI MIAMI, seduced in the vignettes of the feature film CLARE and can be seen in the LIONS GATE feature, SEA OF FEAR.
Chris continues to embody the passionate character of an actor perfecting his skill and we look forward to his next adventure.
